What Are They?
Lip lines, also known as lipstick lines or smoker’s lines, are vertical wrinkles that develop along and above the upper lip as part of the natural aging process. These lines appear as fine vertical creases, extending from one side of the mouth to the other, and can be challenging to conceal.
Additionally, lipstick or foundation may settle into these lines, exaggerating their depth and darkness. Above the lip, these wrinkles stretch upward toward the nose and are typically more visible and pronounced than those on the lips themselves.
Lip lines can contribute to the perception of aging, and addressing them can help rejuvenate the appearance of the face, potentially removing years from one’s overall look.
